New MSV65 barfeed

1 min read

Hydrafeed will show its new MSV65 barfeed at MACH.

It weighs 300 kg, is 1.9 m long and has a depth of one metre which means it can easily fit into compact machine shops. There's a completely new bar loading mechanism that minimises friction, while bars can be loaded from a storage magazine on to the rollers - irregular bar shapes can be fed in too. Having servo control on all axes eradicates the need for compressed air and the result is a positional accuracy of 0.1 mm, highlighting how the company is bringing something new to the market. Bars with diameters from 5 to 65 mm and lengths of 200 to 1550 mm can be fed, but the company says it can make a bespoke machine for those wanting sizes outside of the range. Operators have an HMI screen that can store 100 programs, while accepting all values and storing production information, so changeover times are literally a case of keying in alternative bar diameters.
