Fanuc UK to build new headquarters

Fanuc has announced that it will be moving its UK headquarters to Whitley Business Park, Coventry, next to Jaguar Land Rover’s world HQ and research and design centre.

The new facility, due to be completed in July 2016, has the capacity to expand the Fanuc UK workforce by 25% of its original size.

Chris Sumner, managing director, Fanuc UK said: "This is a significant milestone for us as we continue to grow our business and invest in the future engineers of tomorrow. The new facility will enable us to expand our workforce, provide an excellent working environment with access to the state of the art facilities, and improve services to our customers."

A year ago, the company centralised its UK divisions – Fanuc factory automation (CNC controls, drive systems and laser systems), robotics and robomachine (Robodrill vertical machining centres, Robocut EDM machines and Roboshot injection moulding machines) – into a single brand, and a single location at Seven Stars Industrial Estate, Coventry.
