Aberlink to show coordinate measuring machine Axiom Too at MACH 2010

Aberlink, the largest UK-owned coordinate measuring machine manufacturer, will be demonstrating their best selling coordinate measuring machine, Axiom Too, at MACH 2010.

Making a debut at MACH will be Aberlink's intuitive 3D measurement software. Now available as a retrofit for coordinate measuring machines and measuring arms, the metrology software was designed around a graphical interface. The software features automatic shape recognition and a bi-product, of an Aberlink 3D inspection routine, is that a picture of the measured component is created, simultaneously, on the system's computer screen. Dimensions between the measured features, mirroring those that appear on the component drawing, are then picked off as required. In essence this 'smart' software package represents an extremely intelligent measuring system that is able to automatically recognise and define the various features being measured. Aberlink 3D is claimed to be the easiest to use, most intuitive measuring arm software currently available, so much so, a complete novice is usually able to perform relatively involved measurement routines after just 5 minutes product training.
