Aberlink CMM software interfaces with measuring arms

An interface package now allows the Aberlink 3D measurement software to be used with almost all leading articulating arm CMMs, including Faro, Cimcore, Romer, Garda and Microscribe. Aberlink's inexpensive 3D measurement software package, claimed to be the most intuitive measuring arm software available, was designed around a graphical interface. A picture of the measured component is created simultaneously on the system’s computer screen. Dimensions between the measured features, mirroring those that appear on the component drawing, are then picked off as required. Using Aberlink’s powerful CAD module option, all measurements can be compared against either IGES or STEP CAD models, while reporting data can be presented in either clear graphical or traditional tabulated formats.
