Aberlink to launch Azimuth CMM at MACH 2014

MACH 2014 (Birmingham NEC, 7-11 April) will witness the launch of Aberlink Innovative Metrology's largest capacity co-ordinate measuring machine (CMM) to date – the Azimuth. With a 1,200 mm X-axis, 1,000-3,000 mm Y-axis and 1,000mm Z-axis, the new CMM on Stand 5951, Hall 5 is targeted at manufacturers of large components within industries such as oil and gas, aerospace and automotive. Aberlink claim that Azimuth will deliver extended measuring capacity, high accuracy, ease of use and high speed at a cost effective price.

Also making a MACH debut will be the new version of Aberlink's software. In addition to supporting discrete touch probe measurement, the recently released Aberlink 3D Mk IV is said to enable accurate, rapid scanning of features and profiles. Aberlink Axiom Too CMMs will be demonstrated fitted with Renishaw PH6M and SP25 tactile scanning probes, in addition to advanced camera and collimated light systems. The Axiom Too is available in both manual and CNC variants. Also on display, Project X is a vision system that features Aberlink's vision software plus a host of additional inspection tools.
