Star Micronics GB will have new machines fresh from EMO at its forthcoming Open House.

To be held from 22 to 24 October at its Melbourne, Derbyshire HQ, the event will see the arrival of the brand new SB-12R, Star's only 12 mm lathe, with the new SV-38R and SB-20R machines making their first appearance on British shores, following their official unveiling at EMO Hanover. In addition, the popular SR-20RIV, SW-20, and SB-20E will also be running, along with a full production set-up featuring an SR-32J machine complete with FMB barfeed, mist extraction, swarf removal, and high pressure coolant systems. A total of seven Star machines will be on view – the largest ever demonstration by Star Micronics GB. Complementary technology at the event will include a Firbimatic cleaning machine, provided by Alex Reid Surface Treatment, while Wieland UK will be expanding its presence with a larger display than in previous years. Other partners present will include Sandvik Coromant, Floyd Automatic Tooling, Filtermist International, Rainford Precision and Finance For Industry, along with several others. Lunch and refreshments will be served during the day, with a late dinner of pies and peas for attendees who choose to stay until evening on the Wednesday. Breakfast bacon butties will also be served until 10:30 am on every day of the event. Sign up at link below.
