Star Micronics Open House will demo new SR-20R IV and more

Star Micronics will be hosting an Open House event at its Melbourne, Derbyshire HQ, from 16 to 18 October.
The company will showcase a selection of its sliding-head lathes, including the SW-20, SB-16E II, SB-20E, SR-32JN, together with the newly upgraded SR-10J, along with a selection of FMB bar feed units. There'll also be a demonstration of Star's brand new machine, the innovative SR-20R IV.
Other companies supporting the event include: Emmaco, LNS Turbo Systems, and MEC Wash, as well as a selection of tooling companies, taking in Sandvik, Iscar, Rainford Precision, and Floyd Automatic Tooling.
Also attending will be mist extraction specialists Filtermist, material suppliers Wieland UK, oil providers Speciality Lubricants, plus Pumps & Equipment, specialists in high pressure coolant systems.
Presentations are planned throughout the three-day event, including a range of seminars on the latest developments in carbide cutting tools and how they can reduce production times by up to 30%.
A finance seminar is also planned, focusing on how to capitalise on cost-effective funding to assist your next purchase.
