2D CNC releases Toyoda FH630SX-I machining centre

Claiming the largest workpiece capacity and cutting performance in its class, the launch of the Toyoda FH630SX-i horizontal machining centre introduces working strokes of 1,050 mm in X, 900 mm in Y and 1,050 mm in Z. The machine is available in the UK from 2D CNC Machinery.

In performance terms, rapid traverse rates are 60 m/min in each axis to a positioning accuracy of ±0.002 mm and at a repeatability of ±0.001 mm, while one of its BT50 spindle options has the ability to develop over 1,000 Nm of torque.

There are three spindle options. As standard, the BT50 taper, 30 kW motor spindle has 600 Nm of torque and a speed range between 50 and 6,000 rpm. A heavier duty 30 kW spindle is available to accommodate face-milling up to 1,210 cm³/min metal removal rate, while for high speed operations Toyoda offers a 15,000 rpm version.
