Optical and multi-sensor measurement from Spectrum Metrology at Mach 2010

Spectrum Metrology will launch a range of innovative, high precision optical and multi-sensor measuring instruments at Mach 2010, designed by German-based optical specialists Dr Heinrich Schneider Messtechnik.

The product range covers a wide variety of measurement applications and instruments, on show at Mach are: The VideoCAD 2D Optical Measuring device, particularly suited to profiles made of plastic, aluminium, wood, rubber and metal, as well as, stamped parts of any kind. The VideoCAD combines very high precision (up to E2= (4+L/50)) and high speed, at a practical price. Combined with dedicated measurement software to give "tailor-made" measurements the VideoCAD offers a versatile range of applications. The software allows not only geometries to be recorded (lengths, diameters, radii, angles) but also CAD comparisons, 2D best-fit and prototype inspections. The entry level VideoCAD system is a portable device for objects up to 80 x 60 mm in size; VideoCAD3 is a larger system which can be integrated into the production process and measures objects up to 225 x 168 mm. The Shaft Measuring Machine WMM100 will also be on show; this benchtop model with touchscreen PC is suited for fast measurement of shafts, rotating parts and tools up to 100 mm length and 60 mm diameter. A CCD camera is integrated into the machine to enable high precision non-contact measurement of all types of cylindrical components. Spectrum will also be launching a brand new Schneider instrument, the Digital Projector DP. This inexpensive, compact projector gives ultra high precision measurement. Comprising CCD camera, touch screen PC and a precise measuring stage, the tabletop design can handle components up to 20 kg in weight and 200 x 100 mm in size. Spectrum Metrology will be on stand 5635 and their engineers will be available throughout MACH 2010, to demonstrate the equipment and discuss individual applications. Spectrum Metrology is the exclusive UK agent for these product ranges.
