Zeiss AIMax Cloud is designed for car body production lines

The Zeiss AIMax Cloud optical 3D sensor is a robot-based 3D metrology system that has been designed for use in the fields of sheet metal processing and car body construction.

Dense 3D point clouds are generated by a sensor directly at the production line, offering the possibility of measuring multiple features, such as bending edges, rivets, surfaces points and T-pins, with just a single capture.

The AIMax Cloud can be used for both in-line and at-line robot-based 3D metrology applications found in sheet metal processing and car body construction. Other applications include the inspection of assembly and welding processes, gap-and-flush measurements in body shell construction and final assembly in the automotive industry.

AIMax Cloud strengths include the measurement of features that were previously difficult to analyse, such as rivets, nuts behind sheet metal and characteristic design lines.
