YMT assembles one stop shop range of tooling and workholding solutions under Tuscan banner

YMT's Technologies Tooling Division has selected and tested a range of cost-effective high precision spindle tooling and workholding solutions from various suppliers that it is marketing under its Tuscan brand. All products come with pre- and post-sales technical support.
The Tuscan range also includes the E236N entry-level tool presetter which can increase the efficiency of a machine shop by eliminating measurement of tools on the machine tool. It features a ground granite base and column, stainless steel construction and ergonomic design.
The Tuscan SF-6000 induction heat shrink system, with matching toolholders, allows spindle speeds to be increased without compromising rigidity, says YMT. As heat shrink systems can increase the symmetry of tools, SF-6000 supports accurate and repeatable machining and reduces spindle bearing wear.
Fixturing solutions include station, double station and precision ground 5-axis machine vices. With 100 to 300 mm jaw openings, Tuscan vices can accommodate large and small workpieces and are designed and manufactured to withstand the stresses of CNC machining with micron accuracy repeatability.
Tuscan Vacmagic vacuum technology allows non-magnetic material to be held without causing deflection in the workpiece. It operates with standard machine shop compressed air to achieve full clamping pressure. It can also be used as a pallet changer and fixed location device as well as for workholding.
