WNT offers C900 high feed drill in 2xD

WNT (UK)’s indexable insert drilling system, the C900 high feed drill, is now available in 2xD, adding to the existing 3xD, 4xD, and 5xD variants. WNT says the 2xD type will allow users to make the most of the reduced flute length and added stability.

As with the existing drills, the latest addition also makes use of the same style of insert for the centre and peripheral cutting edges although, of course, different sized inserts are required throughout the diameter range.

With the added benefit of four cutting edges per insert, the C900 range helps to reduce inventory and manufacturing costs for users, and simplifies set-up as the operator does not have to identify the correct insert for each position.

Available from 14 to 63 mm diameter, the shorthened flute length of the 2xD drills will enhance performance in applications requiring holes in uneven, inclined or convex surfaces.
