CRC machines feature a cylindrical rotating chamber that is divided into a further three to four individual chambers: a combined chamber for loading and unloading; one or two blast chambers; and an abrasive and dust evacuation chamber. The latter ensures that dust stays in the machine's dust collector, rather than leaking into the production environment.
Cam or crankshafts are placed horizontally on rollers and then moved through the machine, under constant rotation. Due to the division into several chambers, the machine can blast parts at the same time as finished workpieces are unloaded and new ones placed on to the rollers. Cycle times lie between 14 and 20 seconds.
