Walter Tiger.Tec Silver range turns to steel
Walter GB of has extended its Tiger.tec Silver grade carbide insert range with the addition of WKP25S for the wet and dry machining of steel and irons (ISO P and ISO K), as well as Tiger.tec geometries and cutting tool materials for ISO steel turning.
Complementing WKP35S, the WKP25S grade is applicable for all popular tools in the Xtra.tec range – face and shoulder mills, side and face mills and porcupine cutters.
For ISO steel turning, the new Tiger.tec Silver ISO P Generation geometries FP5, MP3, MP5 and RP5 all have large universal chip breakage ranges that complement the turning grades in terms of higher cutting data and longer tool lives, says Walter
