Walter GB expands ConeFit exchangeable head milling range
Walter GB has extended its ConeFit solid carbide exchangeable head milling system range with the addition of more diameter sizes, effective teeth and corner radii.
Combined with the numerous additional diameters and corner radii options are nine additional Prototyp 'Tough Guys' milling tools, which are available as changeable head variants, plus a new 3-flute boring tool having greater chip clearance for aluminium machining.
Also, to complement the existing range of spherical cutters with four cutting edges, there is now a version with two cutting edges targeted at complex 5-axis restricted contour machining.
Walter GB has also announced that it has expanded the ConeFit clamping options with the introduction of monoblock toolholders.
Offering great stability, the new toolholders can be supplied in various versions to fit most common machine spindles - HSK 63A, SK40 and MAS BT40 for mills/machining centres, and Walter Capto C5 and C6 adaptors for driven tool lathes.
