Uprated face milling cutter and inserts
An updated and ‘uprated’ Xtra.tec F4033 face milling cutter with an expanded insert programme, based on the new PVD Tiger.tec WSP45 and WSM 35 grades, can be effectively applied to high alloy stainless steels and difficult-to-machine materials such as titanium alloys and nickel-based alloys.
All inserts are available in three geometries (for stable, universal and easy cutting applications), with sharp or protected edges and with radiused or faceted corners for a comprehensive range of steel and cast iron machining tasks, too.
The inserts combine a mixture of aluminium oxide (Al²O³), titanium carbon nitride (TiCN) and titanium nitride (TiN) coatings on a tungsten carbide substrate, featuring a grey (TiCN) rake face and a golden, TiN finish (flank face) that aids wear identification.
