Union UDC cutting tools from Rainford tackle 80 HRc duties
Rainford Precision now offers a range of milling, drilling and thread milling tools from Union Tool that have been developed for processing tungsten carbides, ceramics, zirconium, silicon carbide and nitride materials up to a hardness of 80 HRc.
The Union Tool UDC series is aimed at manufacturers in the aerospace, automotive and mould and die sectors that are currently processing hard materials using processes such as grinding or EDM.
The UDC series includes a stub and long reach line of ball-milling cutters (both available with 0.1 to 3 mm radius in 0.05 or 0.5 mm increments), a series of long-neck corner radius cutters (0.3 to 2.0 mm cutting diameter), a line of drills (0.4 to 3.5 mm diameter) and various thread mills (M2 to M8).
