Two spindle slliding head lathe powers up turning

With balanced main and sub-spindle operations, the two model Nomura NN-YB series of Swiss-type sliding head CNC lathes offers both flexibility and the spindle power to turn even the most demanding engineering materials. The lathes are capable of turning, milling and cross drilling f on both the main and sub-spindle which means that machining cycle times can be significantly reduced by balancing work between the spindles. The NN-20YB has a maximum turning diameter of 20 mm and the larger NN-25YB provides a maximum turning diameter of 25 mm, while both machines offer a maximum machining length of 200 mm. Both models have a 3.7 kW main spindle and 2.2 kW sub-spindle, have turning speeds between 300 and 10,000 rpm and the power to cut brass, copper, mild and stainless steels, titanium and high nickel content alloys. The C axis on both spindles can be incremented at 0.001º. The compact footprint (2,280 mm long by 1,257 mm wide) machines have been designed with access to the working area in mind. This allows the lathe to be set up quickly, reducing the downtime associated with batch changes to a minimum.
