Trumpf unveils TruLaser Station 5005 5-axis laser welder

Trumpf says that its 5-axis TruLaser Station 5005 is a space-saving, easy-to-operate machine for welding mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, non-ferrous metals and plastics. Designed for those looking to introduce cost efficient laser welding into their production for the first time, the TruLaser Station 5005 is suitable for applications in the medical, electrical and general precision engineering industries.

Advantages of the system include its small footprint of 800 x 900 mm2, convenient upward-sliding door and integrated dust collector. In addition to its three linear axes, the TruLaser Station 5005 has a rotary axis and a swivel axis for focusing the optics, permitting welding angles up to 120°. All axes can be interpolated simultaneously, so that even parts with complex geometries can be joined. The working volume is 300 x 300 x 500 mm, while users can choose between fixed and scanning optics.
