Tiger.tec grade WKP35 insert range now includes boring and Stardrill inserts

Walter GB has expanded its Tiger.tec grade WKP35 inserts for cast iron machining with the addition of Trigon inserts for boring tools and indexable inserts for the Novex Stardrill series. The development extends Tiger.tec’s ability to boost production rates and reduce non-productive time in these applications by enabling higher cutting parameters to be applied and with less insert changes. Tiger.tec inserts regularly achieve up to 75 per cent more components per edge than competitor products, and in some cases have doubled output due to the inserts’ improved process reliability courtesy of a high resistance to flank wear, cratering and thermal cracking. The Trigon inserts for boring have ISO designations of WOMX and WOEX, and they feature an included angle of 84°. These and the Stardrill inserts are available as circumference-sintered and/or ground inserts, depending on user requirements.
