Thame launches Trueborer jaw ring for power chucks

Available from Thame Workholding, Trueborer is a jaw ring for power chucks that has been designed to bore, turn or grind jaws on power chucks under the same clamping pressure required to hold the workpiece.

Deployed for creating concentric bores on hard or soft jaws, Trueborer is infinitely adjustable within its specified clamping range. This allows fine adjustment for minimal skimming of jaws, which can also be through-bored in one operation, resulting in better TIR of any machined parts, says Thame.

Trueborer is available in three sizes: ES16 covers chucks from 125 to 200 mm diameter at a clamping force of up to 8,000 daN; ES25 is for chucks between 250 and 315 mm diameter with a clamping force of 10,000 daN; while the largest ES42 is for chucks from 400 to 600 mm diameter and supports clamping forces up to 13,000 daN.
