TendoTurn cuts chatter in turning operations
TendoTurn hydraulic expansion technology significantly improves tooling performance by damping tooling vibration to deliver extended cutting tool life and improved surface finishes.
TendoTurn significantly increases the vibration dampening effect of the toolholders with improvements in tool life and surface quality of 300 per cent not rare.
The TendoTurn is available in three formats, the TendoTurn with VDI interface, the TendoTurn Lathe clamping insert DKE and the TendoTurn double-clamping DSE insert. The TendoTurn with VDI interface is designed for direct clamping in the turret of a lathe. It is available with VDI 25, VDI 30 and VDI 40 interfaces. Fully flexible, the system with VDI interface is adapted to accommodate internal coolant supply and is also equipped with an axial length adjustment screw for easy tool length adjustment from outside the machine.
For clamping common VDI Weldon holders, the TendoTurn DKE lathe clamping insert is the ideal solution, with excellent vibration dampening during the machining process. The DKE lathe clamping insert can increase the productivity of machine tools without the introduction of a specified interface.
For modular applications using driven tooling on high performance machine tools, the TendoTurn double-clamping insert DSE is the application of choice. The DSE system delivers exceptional run-out accuracy and vibration dampening characteristics that provide optimum results. Extremely high clamping forces ensure safe and precise clamping of cutting tools.
All three versions of the TendoTurn include an axial length adjustment screw for easy tool length setting allowing any type of shank (including Weldon and Whistle-Notch style holders) to be clamped safely.
