T-Rail interface for sliding-head machines

Sandvik Coromant has developed a new CoroTurn TR interface that optimises turning and profiling operations in small part machining production and production using sliding head machines. The TR (T-Rail) interface has gained a valuable reputation for increasing stability and precision in demanding turning applications. Now on zero offset tools for sliding head machines, it ensures repeatable edge indexing into the correct insert seat location every time it is used. This maintains dimension tolerances in smaller components. The extra security increases the number of components that each insert can produce between changes. Fewer insert changes lead to reduced set-up time and longer, uninterrupted production runs.
