SurTech FAB buffing machine polishes large parts that are too difficult to finish manually. The FAB will efficiently polish stainless steel fabrications, sheet and plate, hollow sections, enclosures and alternate difficult to finish parts.
Consisting of a frame with guide rails that offers horizontal and vertical travel of the buffing head, parts can be moved along the optional 1,500 or 3,000 mm bed length. In standard format the FAB machine can accommodate parts up to 600 mm high with optional working lengths up to 1,200 mm also available.
The buffing head contains a single speed 2.2 kW motor that offers clockwise and anti clockwise rotation to suit the operator’s preference. The FAB is capable of holding buffs, brushes and wheels up to 250 mm diameter with a maximum width of up to 150 mm. To improve polishing efficiency and to cover all the recommended cutting speeds the buffing head is available with an inverter as an optional extra to increase the wheel speed.
