Starrett Core Ejector addresses age old problem

LS Starrett is launching a cost-effective and simple solution to an age old problem, removal of material slugs in hole sawing.

The company's Core Ejector for bi-metal hole saws has been designed to remove the slug of material that usually ends up inside the cup of the hole saw once it has passed through the material.

Starrett's Core Ejector has been created to improve productivity and efficiency, together with operator health and safety. When cutting into sheet material, the aluminium pressure plate compresses the spring inside the cup of the saw. When the saw breaks through, the spring acts on the pressure plate as it returns to its natural open state, ejecting the disc of raw material.

Available in six sizes to cover a range of hole saw diameters, the Core Ejector works best for sheet material below 7 mm thick with optimum performance achieved with material between 2 to 5 mm thick.
