Schunk Kontec KSC 125 centric vice is ‘all-rounder’

The Kontec KSC centric vice is described by Schunk as an all-rounder in the field of stationary workholding. The vice is said to offer quick adaptability, regardless of whether users are performing conventional clamping, clamping at depth for 5-sided machining, holding moulded parts, or even plates or saw cuts that are short.

A pre-clamped and scope-free centre bearing, and an adjustable slide on the Schunk Kontec KSC 125 are said to ensure a repeat accuracy of ±0.01 mm. The vice can also be applied to automated loading as it can be used in all types of pallet storage systems.

The Kontec KSC 125 is available with a jaw width of 125 and in two base body lengths of 160 or 300 mm. These deliver a clamping force of 35 kN. The clamping width amounts to 303 mm, depending on the system jaw and base body length.
