Sandvik Coromant releases CoroDrill 808

Sandvik Coromant is launching CoroDrill 808 for use in STS-type deep hole machining systems. The drill is equipped with optimised pad design for good hole finish, innovative edge preparation for increased chip breaking and a reinforced periphery insert corner for added security and reliability, says the company. It is suitable for diameters from 15.60 to 65.00 mm, and tolerance demands of IT9. Typical applications include the deep hole drilling of heat exchanger plates.

CoroDrill 808 premium drills are equipped with a traceable dot matrix (a 2D patterned array) used for storage and display of various types of information, such as measurement protocols.
