Sandvik Coromant introduces the CoroDrill 870 exchangeable tip drill
Sandvik Coromant is introducing the CoroDrill 870 exchangeable tip drill for the intermediate hole-tolerance area of IT9-IT10 which is designed to save time and improve performance. The first package released focuses on the ISO-P material area (steel).
The CoroDrill 870 can be tailored to optimise applications through various diameter range, steps and length possibilities for the more efficient production of high quality holes better suited to subsequent operations.
A coupling interface between the drill body and tip is designed to ensure high reliability and precision. The change procedure helps to maximise active machining time and can be performed while the tool is still in the holder. Cutting edge geometry and drill flutes have been designed for safe cutting, chip control, high penetration rates and tool life.
CoroDrill 870 is available from 12 to 20.99 mm diameters and in lengths of 3XD and 5XD as standard.
