The RZM NC can also support Röhm’s SKB clamping jaw inserts, where high holding forces can be realised via a reduced force and low material loss, says the company. SKB inserts also engage with the vice body and workpiece more cost-effectively because the ‘stamping and clamping’ associated with conventional jaw inserts is performed in one operation.
Parts with a hardness up to 900 N/mm2 are clamped with a force of 25 kN and a tightening torque of 150 Nm. Two versions are available – both with widths of 125 mm – but with length of 222 or 142 mm.
