Revamped Oil Tool Grinder is more user-friendly

MTTG company Dean Smith & Grace (DSG) has further developed the original Oil Tool Grinder (OTG) - a modular, travelling wheelhead grinder - renaming it the OTG2.

The latest OTG2 now has a new CNC system, making this machine even more productive and user friendly, says MTTG. MTTG companies have been manufacturing the original oil tool grinder ever since its introduction in 2004 and the latest machines now range from electronic universal grinders through to multi-wheel 6-axis machines. The original machine is said to be the only one that had been designed and developed specifically to meet the day-to-day requirements of oil industry OEMs and the needs of repair shops for grinding and regrinding all types of stabiliser and drill pipe, drill heads, hydro-clean bars, fishing tools, mills, reamers and ancillary equipment. Following its launch, MTTG says "it quickly became generally accepted within the oil and gas sector that the machine was "head and shoulders above anything else in the market". All machines in the OTG2 range are available in both electronic and full CNC versions and are built to meet a customer's specific requirements, with MTTG and DSG engineers available to discuss machine specifications.
