PowerPierce joins recent Hypertherm introductions
In addition to advances to its Hypertherm HPRXD systems like the HDI (HyDefinition inox) technology for stainless sheet under 6 mm thick seen at the recent EuroBLECH exhibition, the plasma and laser cutting systems manufacturer has improved its pierce performance on thick stainless steel.
Hypertherm's patented PowerPierce is combined with a controlled motion pierce process that is capable of piercing stainless steel up to 100 mm thick.
The company is also introducing improved fine feature cutting settings for mild steel up to 25 mm thick and a 200 amp process for mild steel bevel cutting and detailed setting for underwater cutting of mild steel up to 45 mm thick.
