Positive rake steel turning inserts

Tiger.tec Steel grades WPP 10,20,30 positive geometry inserts are for turning steel. The inserts ensure highly-accurate finishing from a 0.1 mm depth of cut at 0.04 mm per rev feed, up to 15 mm depths at 1.7 mm per rev, on the 32 mm diameter RCMX insert styles. Underpinned by Walter’s continual development of hot hardness performance coatings, the WPP 10 (ISO P10) grades of Tiger.tec Steel excel at semi-finishing and finishing while also perform superbly at roughing operations at accepted P10 speeds. Insert grade WPP 20 is designed for consistent performance for aggressive roughing, and applications where medium interruptions and unstable set-ups are likely. WPP 30 caters for interrupted roughing cuts and where surface speeds are difficult to attain due to machine limitations or small diameter applications. The new Tiger.tec Steel turning inserts complement the WPP 10, 20 and 30 grades and negative geometry styles currently available, and they cover the complete range of workpiece materials from unalloyed structural steels to low-alloyed and case hardened steels, in addition to high-alloyed quenched and tempered, high-strength steels within the range 1,300 N/mm2 , as well as martensitic stainless.
