Larger sized inserts for heavy duty turning applications are now available in proven and popular Sumitomo grades AC700G- for finishing steels, AC900G for roughing steels, and grade AC630M for efficiently turning stainless steels. When a round insert is required the expansion ranges from RCMT 1003MO – RCMT2507MO and features a new NRX chipbreaker for improved chip control on finishing applications while styles CNMM 250924 – SNMM 250724 – SNMM 250925 – SNMM 310924 offer a choice of two chip breakers – NHW for roughing applications on low powered machines and NHU for roughing applications on standard machines.
