Tools with a diameter of up to 150 mm and length up to 300 mm can be accommodated, while the maximum weight is 25 kg. The 210° B axis comprises a wheel-holder, electric spindle and cooling circuit. Customers can choose from HSKE40 (20,000 rpm) or HSKE50 (10,000 rpm) spindles.
An automatic grinding wheel changer offers six stations, while automated dressing of CBN and diamond wheels also features, as does a Renishaw wheel-probing system.
The A-axis toolholder, which also allows users to perform cylindrical grinding, is driven by a brushless motor at 650 rpm. A variety of toolholders can be offered, including types by Schunk and Schaulblin.
