The manual lathe, which has a 15 in (387 mm) swing over bed and 50 in (1,250 mm) between centres, costs £17,950.
Spindle power is 5.5 kW and maximum spindle speed is 2,000 rpm. The machine includes a tailstock (quill diameter 59 mm, travel is 127 mm). A digital readout is an option, as is a quick-change tool post and 5 C collets. It includes a Meehanite cast bed and Turcite B slideway coating between bed and carriage.
As of mid-February, Mach Machine Tools had four orders for the machines, which are made in Taiwan and sourced from a US supplier.
The company recently launched the VS-1 turret-type milling machine, which has a capacity of 800 mm by 305 mm by 127 mm (in x, y and z).
