Multi-Head boring system offers wide range of bore diameters

WNT modular Multi-Head boring is claimed to offer the largest diameter range on the market from 3 to 320 mm diameter. A number of boring bars/bridges achieve the required diameter with the fine adjustment coming from the single spindle head, which is available with either HSK, DIN 69871, or MAS-BT 40 taper. The benefit of having just one spindle head to cover such a wide range of diameters is a reduction in tooling costs by up to 70 per cent, says WNT. The Multi-Head system is available as individual catalogue items or can be purchased as a boxed kit to provide a complete boring system for bores from 9.75 to 164 mm. The diameter range can then be increased from 3 to 302mm when required by the purchase of additional boring bars and bridges, etc.
