More versatile bending with LVD PPED hydraulic pressbrakes

LVD Pullmax has introduced its PPED hydraulic pressbrakes featuring a multi-axis back-gauge, CNC V-axis crowning system and a 15-in version of the company’s icon-driven Touch-B control. Combined, these features are said to provide users with greater flexibility for a variety of bending applications.

Three models are available – PPED-4, PPED‑5 and PPED-7 – with either two (X, R) or four (X, R, Z1, Z2) standard back-gauge axes.

The PPED-5 and PPED-7 models are equipped as standard with a crowning system. Sheet thickness, bend length, die opening and material data are entered into the control to determine the amount of crowning required to compensate for bed and ram deflection. LVD’s proprietary design creates a ’crown’ using machined contact wedges that are moved against each other under servo control.

PPED pressbrakes are available in different models from 50 to 320 tonnes, and in bend lengths from 2,000 to 4,000 mm.
