LVD makes top end additions to PPS hydraulic press brake series

LVD has upgraded and expanded its entry-level PPS series of precision hydraulic press brakes. The wider range now spans models from 50 to 320 t and bend lengths from 2,000 to 4,000 mm. Higher specification PPS models offer greater flexibility and performance with increased open height, stroke and operating speeds.

Depending on the model, the LVD PPS series also includes additional table sizes: 140 mm for the Multi-V 70 mm square; 180 mm for the Multi-V 90 mm square; and 250 mm for the Multi-V 130 mm. Latest models also have improved construction, new-style back gauges. The X axis provides more accurate gauging and there is a hand-wheel R axis adjustment to the optional X-R back gauge, plus a programmable R axis. Available in 3- or 4-axis configurations, the PPS press brakes up to 320 t feature a rugged, welded one-piece frame machined without repositioning in the interests of precision. Hydraulic cylinders are machined from a solid steel billet. Pistons are steel forgings, precision ground and micro-polished. LVD says the machines also boast servo-controlled, state of the art hydraulics and electronics for control of the bending process and optimum precision. All models include LVD's touchscreen control unit equipped with a user-friendly graphic user interface for the quick programming of simple parts. The machines are available with either LVD, Wila, Universal or US style tooling systems.
