Mollart unveils EZ-Burr Stubby deburring tools for lathes
Developed primarily for the users of CNC sliding head lathes, the E-Z Burr Stubby series of quick-change solid carbide blade deburring tools can also be used on other machines offering driven tool capability, on holes from 3.18 to 6 mm diameter and up to 32 mm deep.
Available only through Mollart, the patented quick-change blade design enables deburring of the front and rear corners of a hole in a single programmed pass of the tool. The carbide insert blade with two angled front and back cutting angled edges is seated against a backstop with a tang to prevent twist or rotation.
Key to the design is the full support of the blade in the holder that gives high rigidity to the assembly aided by only the cutting portion of the carbide blade being exposed from the toolholder in the machine.
