Mitsubishi-dedicated rotary encoders unveiled by Heidenhain
A series of rotary encoders designed for direct connection to Mitsubishi controls has been announced by Heidenhain (GB).
Offering accuracies of ±20 arc/second and suitable for use on machine tool servo axes and spindles, for example, the ECN/EQN absolute and ROC/ROQ 400M series encoders feature integral bearing and stator coupling or separate shaft coupling. Mounted encoders offer IP67 protection of the housing and IP64 at the shaft inlet.
ECN/EQN 400M encoders are available with blind hollow shaft or hollow through shaft, while ROC/ROQ 400M models have either a synchro or clamping flange and an additional circumferential slot for fastening with fixing clamps.
