Missler launches Windows 7 interface TopSolid’Cam 7

French CADCAM software company Missler has launched TopSolid'Cam 7. With the release of TopSolid'Design 7 two years ago, it offers a complete and transparent integrated CADCAM solution, says the company.

TopSolid 7 has been entirely re-thought-out and rewritten using the Windows 7 intuitive and powerful interface. Both its interface and performance will allow users to machine faster and more accurately, says Missler. It offers continuous 5-axis functions and the possibility of programming mill-turn machines. According to Christian Arber, Missler Software CEO: "TopSolid is above all an integrated CADCAM solution for companies that wish to manufacture what they have designed. TopSolid has been developed to use and take advantage of design and machining knowhow from the 3D model right up to machine programming." In addition to its Windows 7 interface, TopSolid'Cam 7 benefits include: • Management of files, machine tools, cutting tools and ISO files with an integrated and transparent PDM • FreeShape function that allows part machining without worrying about tolerances or data re-entry • Key functions presaged in TopSolid'Cam 6: - stock management for all milling and turning operations - strong CAD integration and use of features to enable part redesign for ultimate machining - save and reuse company knowhow - advanced simulation of lathes/milling machines - creation of operating files that manage tracking system needs for subcontractors.
