Mid-size capacity machine joins upgraded Joemars wire EDM range
The Joemars Eurospark WT5 wire erosion machine from Eurospark slots in size-wise between the WT4 and WT6 – successors to the former 455 and 655. A more compact design reduces machine width by almost 1,000 mm.
The range starts at 350 by 250 by 210 mm travel with a work tank of 850 by 560 by 205 mm up to a 1,200 by 700 by 450 mm travel with a work tank of 1,650 by 1,050 by 450 mm capable of supporting a workpiece of up to 5 tonne.
The new and upgraded machines have generators that incorporate an SPR circuit for faster cutting speeds, giving up to a 40% improvement depending on the material being cut.
Hardened tables and centralised lubrication are standard across the range. Options include coaxial flushing or submerged machining. Auto wire feed is consistent enough to thread at the break point and also submerged to save emptying the tank.
