The Speedtwister, combined with the trochoidal milling paths of modern CAM systems, is said to offer increased cutting speed and feed rates, in comparison with conventional slot milling applications. According to Fenn Tool, it produces a light, rapid cutting action resulting in increased metal removal rates and accuracy, with long-term benefits.
Suitable for both rouging and finishing in both 3xD and 5xD, the Speedtwister is can be applied to general steel workpieces up to approximately 50 HRc, as well as stainless steels, Inconel and titanium.
