Mate’s Versadie slitting die reduces material waste

Mate Tooling Solutions is introducing its Versadie thick turret insert slitting die for punch press D and E stations. The Versadie design is said to take clamp clearing operations to new levels of reduced material cost and waste for slitting operations by punching closely to the clamps. Furthermore, it allows users to replace die inserts without changing the entire slitting die.

Versadie features easily replaceable inserts that accommodate lengths up to 115.82 mm for E stations and 90.42 mm for D stations. These are currently the longest available in the industry, says Mate. The die insert is manufactured from MPM82 tool steel, a high speed, particle metallurgy steel that according to Mate allows for sharper edges on the die opening. VERSADIE is available in metric and inch sizes in standard rectangle, oval and double D shapes.
