Mate Eliminator lubrication pads protect punch and punched edge quality
Mate Tooling Solutions Eliminator pads – designed to keep the punch tool tip lubricated throughout the punching process – prevent punch galling, while maintaining the edge quality of parts produced.
Eliminator lubrication pads are easily inserted into tooling assemblies, says Mate, and once in place, they ensure lubricant is evenly distributed on the punch every punching cycle. As well as protecting the tooling, they are particularly helpful when punching difficult materials and when operating the turret press at optimal speed, adds the company.
Eliminator durable polyether filter foam pads are available in A through to E station thick turret tooling sizes, but can also be used in other tooling styles. To set up, insert correct size lubrication pad into the punch and stripper assembly. 'Punch' the hole into the pad, then saturate it with 46-68 ISO viscosity hydraulic oil.
