Master Chemical’s Trim Tec OE322NS high pressure performance reduces consumption

Trim Tec OE322NS is Master Chemical Europe's answer to the problem of metalcutting and grinding oils misting when used with high performance chip breaker units on modern lathes and turning centres. The high pressure with which the oil is delivered to the point of cut can present health and safety issues and a good proportion of the fluid lost to the production environment.

Master Chemical's Trim Tec OE322NS vegetable ester-based cutting oil is a heavy duty, neat oil suitable for all materials but in particular, high strength and stainless steels and cast metals. It is formulated with an extreme pressure additive package for efficient metal removal and, thanks to its high lubricity ester base, promotes long tool life. Free from chlorine, active sulphur, polycyclic aromatics and strong odours, this addition to the Trim range is operator friendly. This benefit is enhanced by very low or no mist even at high pressures. Fire risk is also low thanks to the oil's very high flash point and unlike other renewable alternatives Trim Tec OE322NS has good oxidation stability. Minimal misting reduces cutting fluid consumption. According to Master Chemical, in manufacturing trials consumption proved to be as much as 25% lower than with standard high misting mineral oil products. Improved machining performance was also reported due to the product's high lubricity.
