LVD increases turret capacity in 200 kN Strippit V series punch presses

Expanded turret capacity on LVD 200 kN Strippit V-series punch presses is designed to increase their flexibility and reduce set-up times.

The LVD Strippit V20-1225 and 1525 models are now equipped with a 47-station turret of which three are standard 88.9 mm auto indexable and four standard 50.8 mm stations. All stations accept shaped punches and dies, and can be enhanced with the addition of indexable multi-tools including special forming tools, wheel-style tooling, and tapping and deburring systems. The Strippit V20-1225 and 1525 presses also feature patented Smart Stroke, which automatically determining hover height based on material thickness and distance between holes, enables productivity to be maximised without operator or programmer intervention. Bi-directional turret rotation enables the shortest possible route to the next punch station to be selected automatically. The punch presses are equipped with three programmable, relocatable work clamps. These can be programmed to a position on the X carriage and individually relocated to a new position within the part program. This reduces or eliminates 'no punch zones' for increased material utilisation. The design of the Strippit V20-1225 and 1525's table enables sheets weighing up to 146 kg to be handled and a brush table minimises both noise and scratching of parts. Hardened steel guide bushes and hardened shot pins provide precise alignment of punch and die to ensure hole quality and longer tool life. PC-based Fanuc control offers full colour graphics, real-time diagnostics, large capacity program storage and networking capability for program transfers. Options include CADMAN software for automatic unfolding of 3D SAT and IGES files, auto-nesting support for punching functions, including auto-index stations, etc, and an automatic load/unload system or 6 or 8 pallet Compact Tower for full material loading, unloading and storage.
