Leader launches Toshiba TUE-100 heavy duty VTL

To meet demand from industries such as aerospace, power generation and transportation, Leader CNC has introduced the Toshiba TUE-100 vertical boring and turn-mill centre. Toshiba says this expansion in its line of VTLs sees the TUE-100 feature an identical ram cross-section as that on larger TUE models, together with rapid traverse rates of 12 m/min on the ram and 15 m/min on the rail head.

The TUE-100 has a table diameter of 1,016 mm offering a 1,200 mm swing. This, together with its cutting height of 850 mm and cutting diameter of 1,200 mm, allows the TUE-100 to process workpieces weighing up to 2,000 kg.

Complementing this are cutting feed rates of up to 2,000 mm/min with an available ram force of 2,000 kgf. Toshiba cites X- and Z-axis positional accuracies of ±0.007 mm, and ±0.015 mm in the X-axis.
