Kurt offers Sine Parallels as low-cost alternative to special fixturing

Kurt's Sine Parallels, which increase the versatility of any standard 6-inch Kurt vice, are billed as a fast, easy and low cost way to set-up workpieces for machining at three common angles without building a special fixture.

Rectangular parts can be clamped precisely and quickly at 30°, 45° and 60° angles. The Kurt Sine Parallels also provide opportunity for clamping round workpieces. The precision ground Kurt Sine Parallels can be installed and positioned quickly and easily with a single bolt for each plate. There is no need to remove jaw plates – they remain in the vice while using the Sine Parallels. After initial set-up, the Sine Parallels can be quickly changed to any of the other angles and also be used as a parallel.
