Jaw change in <1 min using Kurt DoveLock from Carillon
Available in the UK from Carillon Industrial Supplies, the Kurt DoveLock quick-change jaw system reduces jaw changeover time by 90% to less than one minute, while at the same time positioning the jaw with repeatability of up to ±0.025 mm. What's more, the machinable jaws can be flipped 180° and machined on both sides for two different part set-ups.
The DoveLock master jaw uses special dovetail quick-clamps to hold the quick-change machinable jaws. The master jaw is attached to the stationary and movable jaw in the initial set-up. Once the system is in place, the machinable jaws can be swapped easily by loosening the three quick-clamps on top of the master jaw. The machinable jaw is then pulled out forwards at an angle, or slid out the side of the master jaw.
